Kamp Koren (Slovenia)

Kamp Koren was the first campsite in Slovenia to receive the EU Ecolabel. Situated in a picturesque valley by the Soča river, Kamp Koren boasts a 4-star rating and it's not hard to see why. From home comforts like laundry machines and television to luxuries like a sauna and fitness centre, Kamp Koren has amazing facilities. An amazing addition their services is a free herb garden, where guests can collect the herbs for their dinner straight from the camp!

It is also a sport lovers dream! You can find the full list of options under the "Features" section. The most inviting is the access to kayaking and river sports - you'll wish the water ran more slowly so you can stop to enjoy the incredible surroundings of the Soča river. If you're less of a water baby and more of a walker, baby, then there's plenty of hiking options in the gorgeous mountains. Not forgetting the incredible local sites, such as the waterfall Kozjak waterfall, the gravel pits, the well-known Napoleon bridge and the restored front line from the World War I. This combination of natural and historical heritage is rarely found around a campsite.

The staff of Kamp Koren are there to help organise these sporting activities and much more - all you need to do is choose is where you want to sleep after such an exciting day in the mountains.

There are three different ways to stay in this gorgeous camping area.

Camping: You can make use of their extensive camping ground, which has space for 90 tents, caravans or motorhomes!

Eco-chalets: If you prefer to have a roof over your head, they have 6 stunning wooden eco-chalets, each of which can hold up to 6 people. They all have luxury 3* equipment where you can relax after a day exploring the beauty on your doorstep. If you don't fancy a day of hiking, you can relax on your doorstep! There's a veranda with a table and chairs ready and waiting. Chalets are great for wintertime as they are heated.

Glamping:  Can't choose between camping or a chalet? What about halfway between? Brand new for 2018, these beautiful huts offer the best of both worlds.
